Welcome back to the Night Legacy! Last time, the first of generation three was born! We found

out Drusilla was Bruges daughter, Cel and Max had a son named Lestat, and they started to

mend their relationship.

This chapter starts with a familiar painting.

Jess is not impressed.

“I suppose I just don’t understand art. Oh, well. Those priceless originals earned me a pretty

penny in the good ol’ days.”

Meanwhile, Cel and Dru are bonding.

“I love you, little Dru.”

“*giggle*”

It also happens to be Dru’s birthday! And Lestat’s! Sims aging is weird.

Celestia brings Drusilla to the cake while Max handles baby Lestat.

Uh, Max? Could you move? You’re kind of blocking Drusilla.

...

Max?

Oh, well. Time for the sparkles!

No sparkles, but there’s a hand!

Dru grew up pretty nicely. I think I’ll keep her dress. It suits her. How do you feel, Dru?

“My hand is bigger!”

Yes. Yes, it is.

Time for Lestat!

Endanger that baby’s life and let’s see what we’ve got!

Jess approves.

WHOA! Look at that hair! How did he go from bald to Rapunzel in mere seconds?!

Also, Cel, what are you doing with that cake?

“Well, someone has to clean it up!”

But you haven’t even eaten any!

Well, at least Dru got some.

“I couldn’t let birthday cake go to waste!”

Good for you, kiddo.

Anyway! Here’s Lestat with a makeover. I gave him kind of long hair, but still short enough to

be believable. He’s not old enough to be Legolas. He looks a bit snakelike.

What’s wrong with you, Max?

“I wanted a slice of that cake.”

We all did, Max. We all did.

I wanted one more baby, so I had Cel and Max hop to it. I love how Cel’s sparkles just go

through the blanket.

Despite blocking her in her birthday picture, Max actually gets along great with Drusilla. He

genuinely treats her as his own. Ignore the fact that they’re talking while he’s in his underwear.

Sims have no shame.

He’s also a great dad to Lestat. Here he is, trying to teach him to talk.

“Say ‘dada.’”

“Die.”

“Dada.”

“Die, die.”

Uh...maybe he just likes German.

And Celestia’s pregnant! I’m sure Max will be a great dad to this little one as well.

“Ugh, please, tell me this is the last one.”

It’s the last one. I just want a third. I have plans.

“It’s okay, Lestat. Daddy loves you.”

Did I mention Max is a good dad? Max is a good dad.

Did you get a good grade, Dru?

“Really good! I can’t wait to show Mommy!”

That’s great! But I have to wonder...What kind of school gives out daily report cards? I only got

mine maybe two or three times a semester!

Yay! Baby bump!

“Last time?”

Last time.

Celestia cuddled up to Max as they went to sleep. Max let her. They’re getting better. Baby

steps.

In other news, hi, Orion! I don’t remember inviting you over.

“Oh, I was just in the neighborhood and thought I’d drop in.”

I see. I can’t see this becoming a habit.

“Hey, Orion! Haven’t seen you since the wedding! Did Celestia invite you?”

“No, I just kind of walked in.”

“Oh.”

“...”

“...”

...

“Isn’t it cool that we’re named after vampires, Uncle Orion? Wouldn’t it be even cooler if I

named my kids after the moon?”

“Nope! Not listening! You having kids will mean I’ll be old!”

“But, Uncle Orion!”

“LALALALALALA...”

“Hey! We’re still part of this legacy! Rock on, readers! Let’s party!”

“Jessica, sit down.”

“...Yes, dear.”

“How are you, Celestia? How is the baby?”

“We’re both fine, Max. In fact...”

“I’m almost certain the baby can hardly wait to be born.”

“That’s wonderful.”

“Uncle Orion, I’m sorry I made you mad earlier.”

“No, no, I’m sorry, sweetie. I overreacted.”

“Can we be friends?”

“Of course we can, sweetie. Of course we can.”

“It’s so good to see you, son. Don’t be a stranger.”

“I won’t, Mom.”

“But do knock first.”

“No promises.”

And now, let’s take a moment to look at Drusilla. Isn’t she adorable?

“Author, can I move now?”

In a minute, sweetie.

How’s that baby coming along, Cel?

“It should be here soon.”

Good. *plotting fingers* Can’t wait.

“What was that?”

*hides her hands* Nothing.

Time for Lestat’s birthday!

Everyone’s here! Let’s see how he looks!

“Wow, I’m bigger!”

“Why did I come to my coworker’s kid’s birthday again?”

Lestat’s a pretty cute kid. I can see both of his parents in him.

“Look, I can clap my hands together!”

He’s still getting used to the change.

“Here, Lestat, I’ll show you a game you can make from clapping hands.”

“Cool!”

“Just think, Max. Soon, we’ll have three.”

“I’m looking forward to it.”

Flower arranging, Cel? Really?

“I thought it would be nice to have some snapdragons in the house.”

That’s a good point. Carry on.

“Uh-oh.”

“MAX! MAMA! SOMEBODY, HELP!”

Now, that wasn’t so bad, was it?

“Last...one...!”

Last one.

Meet Marceline Night, named after the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time! She has her

father’s skintone and eyes, but her mother’s hair. She’s the last child of generation 3.

“Woo-hoo! Another grandchild!”

“Yay, a sister!”

“Phew, I’m done.”

“To get to the other side!”

“Haha! That’s funny, Daddy! Makes me forget all about the birth I just witnessed! Hahaha...”

“...hahaha...”

“...hahaha!”

It will haunt your nightmares. You’re welcome.

Oh, hey, Tom! Haven’t seen much of you!

“Must feed baby!”

Might be because I’ve found I don’t like servos.

Dru brought home her cousin Lex from school.

And Lestat brought home cousin Clark. They’re Regulus’s kids, if you’ll remember. Given Cel

and Reg’s relationship, it’ll probably be the first and last time.

“Mommy, I got an A+! Look! Look!”

“*snores*”

Or maybe she won’t even notice.

Time must fly because it’s time for Marcy’s first birthday! Let’s see what we’ve got!

Once again endanger an infant’s life and...

Oh, wow, she’s a cutie. I think I’ll change her hair to something different, but she’s definitely

cute. So far, she’s a mix of her parents too.

Hey, I think I hear the phone ringing...

“Who could be calling this late?”

“Hello? Oh, Romi, hi! We were just in the middle of Marceline’s birthday! She’s my youngest—

“Romi, slow down! No, Louis’s not here. Is everything alright?”

“...I’ll be right over.”

“I came as soon as I could.”

“Thanks. I appreciate it.”

“You look awful, Romi.”

“I’ve been better.”

“What’s going on?”

“Louis’s missing and so is Bruges.”

“What?”

“Exactly what I said. My son and Bruges are missing.”

“I...I don’t understand...”

“My dear, maybe she should hear the whole story.”

“I agree. Cel, have a seat.”

“I’ll start from the beginning. A while back, Bruges came home after visiting you.”

“He was pretty torn up.”

“Hey, Bruges, where’ve you been?”

“I went to visit Celestia. She’s been named her family’s heir.”

“You okay?”

“No.”

“I was worried about him. He was pretty beaten up. But for a while after that, everything was

normal. He continued to do his job.”

“The kids were fine. Louis grew into a teenager.”

“And he and Bruges seemed to be good friends.”

“But one night, after we woke up, Alan went to check on the children.”

“Claudia’s sleeping peacefully, but Louis is gone.”

“What?”

“He’s not in bed. It looks like it hasn’t even been used tonight.”

“That doesn’t make any sense. Bruges knows to have them back by nightfall.”

“Well, Louis is a teenager now. Perhaps they feel they can get away with a few extra hours out.”

“But I told him specifically that I don’t like the kids to be out after nightfall, no matter what age.

This is suspicious. I don’t trust it.”

“My dear, calm down. They could be on their way back. We’ll wait an extra hour.”

“I’m gonna tear Bruges a new one.”

“So, we waited, but the hour came and went. By then, I was terrified. Bruges, if anything, was

usually punctual.”

“So, we went out looking. I went one way, Alan went another.”

“If we could still feel our lungs, we’d be gasping by the time we got back to the house. We

shouted as loud as we could.”

“But we had no luck.”

“So, we went to confront Barcelona. If anyone could tell us where they were, it was her.”

“You have ten seconds to tell me where my son is.”

“Ah, I wondered when you two would show up. I’ve been waiting for hours.”

“Where. Is. My. Son?”

“Louis is fine. He is with Bruges and they are both unharmed.”

“How can you be sure?”

“Because if that were not the case, I would not be talking with you now.”

“Okay, but where are they? Why haven’t they come home?”

“I can’t tell you.”

“What? Why not?”

“It is set.”

“Bah! This is ridiculous!”

“Your husband has never been one for patience, has he?”

“Alan and I won’t just sit here while our son is missing!”

“Too right! Perhaps your book will have some answers!”

“I wouldn’t touch that if I were you, Count.”

“AIYEE!”

“Damn witch!”

“As I said, your son is fine. When the time comes, you will be reunited. Now, please, leave me in

peace.”

“You better be telling the truth, Barcelona, or Plumbob help me, I’ll—”

“I have told you all that I could. Now, do as I say and leave me in peace.”

“Hmph. Come, my dear. Let’s leave and continue our search.”

“So, we did, but so far, we haven’t had much luck.”

“This is terrible...”

“Has Bruges contacted you at all?”

“No. I haven’t seen him since the night we said goodbye.”

“I see. What all did he tell you that night?”

“That he loved me, even though his sister sent him to spy on my family.”

“That’s all? Ha, the bastard...”

“And what is that supposed to mean?”

“Trust me, Cel, what happened between you and Bruges was for the best. You’re better off

without him.”

“You have no idea what happened between us!”

“I know that I know him better than you. He wasn’t what you think he was.”

“I know that he loved me!”

“I never said he didn’t.”

“So, what are you saying?!”

“That he was no knight in shining armor.”

“I never said he was!”

“Temper, temper! How am I supposed to get any reading done with all this yelling?”

“Oh, great. You.”

“Celestia! So lovely to see you!”

“Hello, Barcelona.”

“Well, as I’m sure Romi has told you, Bruges and Louis have gone away for a while, but don’t

fret! For the time being, they are unharmed.”

“What do you mean ‘for the time being’?”

“Yes, witch, what do you mean by that? You told Romi and I that Louis would return!”

“I said you would be reunited. I didn’t say there wouldn’t be a few scrapes along the way. But

don’t worry, Louis will return alive and in one piece.”

“Why you little...!”

“I think I’ve heard enough.”

“Romi, I’ll call you if I hear anything.”

“Thanks, Cel. I appreciate the help.”

“I hope they return soon. Call me if anything comes up. Goodbye.”

“Romi.”

“You should eat.”

“Trying to dictate when I eat now?”

“No need to be so defensive. I know you haven’t been eating since Louis went missing. Starving

yourself won’t bring him back and could have terrible consequences.”

“Why don’t you take that ‘concern’ of yours and shove it up your—”

“My dear, as much as I can’t stand her, I think she’s right in this case. You need to eat.”

“*sigh* Fine.”

Louis, wherever you are, I hope you’re safe.

And that’s the end of chapter 7! Sorry it took so long! The last bit of this chapter took me a little

more time to put together!

What happened to Bruges and Louis? Where have they gone? What does Barcelona know? And

more importantly, now that there’s two girls, who will be heir?! ...What?

Tune in next time for the next chapter of the Night Legacy! See ya then!
