THE IMPORTANCE OF

SNOOZING

SNOOZINGYOUR CLOCKFEELS VERY GOOD

IT’S ACTUALLY BAD FOR YOU

SNOOZING NON-URGNET EMAILS FEELS INCREDIBLE

IT’S ACTUALLYFANTASTIC FORYOUR PRODUCTIVITY

1. Important/Urgent2. Important/Non-urgent3. Unimportant

THREE TYPES OF EMAILS

1. UNIMPORTANTThe unimportant ones are easy – just delete them in bulk. (that’s what SaneLater is for).

2. IMPORTANT/ URGENTYOU SHOULD DEAL WITH THESEEMAILS RIGHT AWAY. (THAT’SWHAT YOUR INBOX IS FOR).

3. IMPORTANT/NON-URGENTBUT WHATEVER DO YOU DO WITH THESE???

Most people just leave them in their Inbox. THIS IS BAD. It causes your brain to think about them every time you see them. This has a negative impact on both your productivity and happiness.

THE

GTD APPROACH

Followers of GTD move non-urgent emails into a Defer folder.

This allows you to go into that folder regularly and re-evaluate whether emails are now actionable.

This is better, but not good enough! It still requires discipline and wastes time.

BUT IMPORTANT/NON-URGENT EMAILS SHOULD BE SNOOZED

USE SANEBOX’S SNOOZE FOLDERSSimply drag an email into one of SaneBox’s Snooze folders and they’ll reappear in your Inbox tomorrow, Monday, or whenever you specify. The idea is that the only emails in your Inbox are the ones you need to deal with today. Everything else is out of sight - out of mind (until needed back on your mind, of course)
