• Link Utilization

TEIN2 Topology

Major Operation Issues

• Deactivated STM-4 circuit between Beijing and Copenhagen

• Cooperated with TEIN2-JP NOC on cutover of new HK-JP STM-4 circuit

• Cooperated with TEIN2-JP NOC on cutover of new SG-JP STM-4 circuit

• Cooperating with AARNet NOC on acceptance of 2 new SMW4 STM-1 circuits between Singapore and Frankfurt

• Cooperated with MYREN, DANTE and circuit provider on SG-MY link flapping problem

Major Operation Issues(continued)

• Upgraded JUNOS on BJ/HK/SG POP routers• Activated MPLS over TEIN2 backbone• Cooperated with SingAREN and APAN-JP NOC

on backup transit service from SingAREN for traffic between TEIN2 and APAN-JP

• Increased the access bandwidth between CERNET and TEIN2 backbone from 622Mbps to 1Gbps

Major Operation Issues(continued)

• Cooperated with DANTE and TEIN2 NRENs on evaluation of possible contribution from TEIN2 backbone for PRAGMA project

• Cooperatd with TEIN2 NRENs and partners on IPv4/v6 multicast routing issues

• Deployed a new measure server in SG POP

Thoughts – towards TEIN3

• Layer 2 services.– Currently, TEIN2 backbone support MPLS

• Network Measurement services.– Measurement servers are in all TEIN2 Pops

support DVTS, iperf and multicast.

Thanks!
