Introduction
This will be an eight day (7-14 October 2013) residential training course, hosted at organic agro
tourism farm, with the involvement of 24 participants from 8 countries. The main aim of the
project is to promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) among youth workers in
European countries, thus contributing to raising awareness of sustainable development issues
among young people. Climate change makes sustainable development an urgent global priority.Achieving sustainable development is impossible without wide social awareness of the problem,
including through education and youth work. This project provides a non-formal educational
platform for youth workers to learn and gain competences in sustainable development work
with young people locally and internationally. The course is centered around the concept of
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as a practical tool of education for young people
not only about the problems of climate change but also about possible solutions. The project
will also promote local initiatives based on the principles of sustainability located around in the
Lower Silesia region.

traditional craftmanship and is well known for its devotion for organic farming and food

Poland
National currency is Zloty (Polish Zloty, PLN). 1 EUR is approximately 4,35 PLN.
Weather in October is usually very changable, temperatures may vary from 10 to 25 degrees
with occasional showers and some strong wind possibility. Nights are cold, so please make sure
to bring some warm clothes. As we will be staying in the mountainous area, it may be a good
idea to bring some good boots. Please check the weather forecasts in advance and be warned,
that weather forecasts very seldom are reliable during Polish Autumn ;)
