Welcome back travelers!In this second lesson we are going to study the past and the future
Spanish verbs in an easy way!.
The regular verbs in THE FUTURE TENSE are conjugated by adding the following endings to the infinitive form of the verb: -é, -ás, -á, -
emos, -éis, án
Yo hablaréTú hablarás
El/ella hablaráNosotros hablaremos
Vosotros hablaréisEllos/ellas hablarán
Hablar
(To talk)
There are twelve common verbs that are irregular in the future tense. Their endings are regular, but
their stems change. Since the endings are the same as all other future tense verbs, I show you
only the “yo” form, and I have underlined the irregular stem
We can find the SIMPLE PAST: I spoke.Verbs ending “–ar”.
Using “hablar” (To talk)as an example:
Yo habléTú hablasteÉl/ella habló
Nosotros/as hablamosVosotros/as hablasteis
Ellos/ellas hablaron
Verbs ending “-er”.
Using “comer” (To eat) as an example:
Yo comíTú comiste
Él/ella comióNosotros/as comimosVosotros/as comisteisEllos/ellas comieron
Verbs ending “-ir”.
Using “vivir” (To live) as an example:
Yo vivíTú viviste
Él/ella vivióNosotros/as vivimosVosotros/as vivisteisEllos/ellas vivieron
The second group is the PRESENT PERFECT: I have spoken.
And the last group of verbs: THE PAS PERFECT (I had spoken)
