Sun Carrier Omega is one of India’s first Net Zero Energy Buildings.

The building is fed by two Sun Carrier Solar Panels installed at site.

Cell Cube vanadium redox battery system is used to store the excess power generation .

This facility does not draw any power from the grid.

The Sun Carrier Omega has achieved LEED PLATINUM certification under LEED India NC version 1.0

Sun Carrier Omega is equipped with Co2 sensors to measure the Co2 levels in the breathing zone .

77% of the occupants can control the air speed and temperature of the cassette A/C units .

More than 81% of the regularly occupied areas have daylight.

92% of the buildings regularly occupied spaces have direct lines of sight to the perimeter glazing.

Low emitting paints , carpets and composite wood products have been used to enhance the indoor environment and provide superior workspace for all employees.

Energy requirements of the building are met on site PV modules generating 140 kWh .

Project achieved 43.8% energy cost reduction. Energy efficient measures like Hi Albedo paint

on the roof , Efficient Lighting System , Efficient HVAC and VRV systems for saving more energy than conventional systems.

Selection of CFC free and HCFC free refrigerants which avoid global warming and ozone depletion.

Sun Carrier Omega has ensured that 96% of total construction waste and debris has been recycled or reused .

The project achieved a recyclable content value of 10.6% of the total material by cost thereby reducing virgin material exploitation.

5.9 % of the total materials cost used on the project were from rapidly renewable resources .

99.1% of the wood based products used are certified in accordance of FSC principles .

24% of the materials and products by cost were extracted , harvested , recovered and manufactured within 800 Kms of the project site.

The project is located on close proximity to public transport hence minimizing transportation.

51% of the site area –exclusive of the building are covered with native or adaptive landscape.

81% of roof area is covered with highly reflective material to reduce heat and reduce impact on microclimate .

100% of non – roof impervious areas are installed with high SRI paver blocks

Every effort has been taken to minimize water consumption.

Low flow dual flush toilets , sensor based auto flush urinals and low flow fixtures have been installed to reduce consumptions by 40%.

100% of waste water is treated and reused for landscaping purposes.

A rain water recharge pit of 180 cu m per day is installed capable of removing 80% TSS.

Provision of battery charging stations for 14% of the total car parking capacity in an effort to promote use of alternative and low emitting vehicles and to reduce transportation pollution.

Provision of carpooling for 14 % of the total car park , reducing transportation and strain on the local infrastructure .

The project is designed as a Net Zero Building and 100% of the buildings annual energy consumption is sourced through on site Renewable source.

The project has achieved 40.9% reduction in potable water use.

The building is designed by Vipat & Associates to showcase various green and sustainable measures and practices , creating awareness and promoting Green awareness to all the visitors and occupants & spearhead the Green movement in the state and the country .

Awarded as Best Concrete Structure of 2012 in Madhya Pradesh.
