• When you are absent from your student teaching placement, you are REQUIRED to place the following phone calls: -Cooperating Teacher (Phone and Email) -University Supervisor -Email the Director

• You are allowed only one personal day during 15 weeks

• Any additional days need to be added to the end

Get to know the students Familiarize with classroom rules and routines Assist teacher with student needs

• Week Two Meeting with interested parties and outline goals (short term and long term)

• Teacher Candidate will take on one subject to plan at this time

• Week Three -Week Seven Teacher Candidate will take on subjects and planning

• Must attend meeting, in-service workshops and assist in daily responsibilities of teaching

• Goals should be implemented within daily routines

• Cooperating Teacher/Supervisor should be providing constant feedback

Teacher Candidate should be planning and teaching all the subjects. (even support staff)

• Must attend meeting, in-service workshops and assist in daily responsibilities of teaching

• Goals should be implemented within daily routines

• Cooperating Teacher/Supervisor should be providing constant feedback

• Week Fifteen •

• Teacher Candidate steps back into support role to facilitate the transition

• Actively assist the cooperating teacher in a supporting role

• Midterm Evaluation due by March 8, 2013 March 8, 2013

• Final Evaluation due by May 3, 2013May 3, 2013

• Cooperating teacher gives you start and end times of the school day

• As a student teacher you must arrive 30 minutes before the start of school and 30 minutes after

• You can leave, it is a professional development

• That means stay and show initiative

• All NEGATIVE Mantoux results signed by your physician MUST be submitted today

• Failure to submit documentation will prevent you from beginning your student teaching assignment
