Student Arts ActivistsOur Future in THEIR Hands!

Arts Activists?

“But aren’t they too young?”

Not too young to know:

◦ The arts are a part of our daily lives

◦ Students at Carl Sandburg Middle School create pinwheels that contain their written thoughts about war and peace.

Arts Activists in Elementary School!

The arts depend on public support to make them accessible to everyone!

Federal support (NEA) and State support (NJSCA) help make the arts affordable for all including:

• Students• Senior citizens• Economically

disadvantaged

Students created Valentine Cards for former Governor McGreevey in 2002 when state arts funding was budgeted at ZERO!

Visit jerseyarts.com during October, National Arts & Humanities Month

Upload a video (30 sec.-1 min.) that says what the arts do for YOU and win a Flip Mino video cam!
