CHRIST THE KING
PROCESSIONAL HYMN……………………………………………….A&M 300 INTROIT HYMN………………………………………………………….A&M 202
ENTRANCE ANTIPHON: Celebrant: The Lamb Who was slain is worthy to receive strength and divinity,
wisdom and power and honour; to Him be glory and power for ever.
Celebrant: Blessed be God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Alleluia! Alleluia! ALL: And blessed be His Kingdom, now and forever. Amen. Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Celebrant: Blessed Lord and Father, ALL: we have assembled in Your Name and in fellowship with one
another. Enable us by Your grace to offer the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; to proclaim and respond to Your Holy Word. Teach us to pray for Your world and Your Church. Grant that we, confessing our sins, may worthily offer to You our souls and bodies as a living sacrifice and eat and drink of Your spiritual food in this Holy Sacrament. Amen.
COLLECT FOR PURITY: ALL: Almighty God, to You all hearts are open, all desires known, and
from You no secrets are hid: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love
4
Rejoice, the Lord is King, Your Lord and King adore; Mortals, give thanks and sing, And triumph evermore: Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
Jesus, the Saviour reigns, The God of truth and love; When He had purged our stains, He took His seat above: Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
His kingdom cannot fail; He rules o'er earth and Heav’n; The keys of death and hell Are to our Jesus given: Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
He sits at God's right hand Till all His foes submit, And bow to His command, And fall beneath His feet: Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
All hail the power of Jesus’ Name; Let Angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem And crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye morning stars of light, Who fixed this floating ball; Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, And crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God, Who from His Altar call; Extol the Stem-of-Jesse’s Rod, And crown Him Lord of all.
Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race, Ye ransom’d of the fall, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all.
Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line, Whom David Lord did call, The God Incarnate, Man Divine, And crown Him Lord of all.
Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget The wormwood and the gall, Go spread your trophies at His feet, And crown Him Lord of all.
Let every tribe and every tongue Before Him prostrate fall And shout in universal song The crownèd Lord of all.

You, and worthily magnify Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

ALL: Amen.
Please Sit.
+ FIRST LESSON +
Reader: A Reading from Word of God written in Ezekiel 34:11-17.
11 For thus says the Lord God: I myself will search for My sheep, and will seek them out. 12 As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out My sheep. I will rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. 13 I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all
6
the inhabited parts of the land. 14 I will feed them with good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel shall be their pasture; there they shall lie down in good grazing land, and they shall feed on rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I myself will be the shepherd of My sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord God. 16 I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with justice.
17 As for you, my flock, thus says the Lord God: I shall judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and goats. Reader: The Word of the Lord. Response: Thanks be to God.
PSALM 95:1-7.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning is now, and shall be forever. Amen.
+ SECOND LESSON + Reader: A Reading from Word of God written in 1 Corinthians 15:20-28.
20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. 21 For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being; 22 for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father, after He has destroyed every ruler and every authority and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For ‘God has put all things in subjection under His feet.’ But when it says, ‘All things are put in subjection’, it is plain that this does not include the One Who put all things in subjection under Him. 28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subjected
7
to the One Who put all things in subjection under Him, so that God may be all in all. Reader: The Word of the Lord. Response: Thanks be to God.
Please Stand.
GRADUAL HYMN………….…………………………………………....A&M 304
Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His Throne; Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own: Awake, my soul, and sing of Him Who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.
Crown Him the Virgin's Son, the God Incarnate born, Whose Arm those crimson trophies won which now His Brow adorn: Fruit of the mystic Rose, as of that Rose the Stem; The Root whence mercy ever flows, the Babe of Bethlehem.
Crown Him the Lord of love; behold His Hands and Side, Those wounds, yet visible above in beauty glorified: No Angel in the sky can fully bear that sight, But downward bends his burning eye at mysteries so bright.
Crown Him the Lord of peace, Whose power a sceptre sways From pole to pole, that wars may cease, and all be prayer and praise: His reign shall know no end and round His piercèd feet Fair flowers of Paradise extend their fragrance ever sweet.
Crown Him the Lord of years, the Potentate of time, Creator of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime: All hail, Redeemer, hail! For Thou has died for me; Thy praise shall never, never fail throughout eternity.
THE GOSPEL ACCLAMATION — 7:00 AM: Leader: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Response: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Leader: Blessings on Him Who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessings on the coming kingdom of our father David! Response: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
THE GOSPEL ACCLAMATION — 9:30 AM: ALL: Hal-le, hal-le, hal-le, lu-jah! Hal-le, hal-le, hal-le, lu-jah! Hal-le, hal-le, hal-le, lu-jah! Hal-le-lu-jah, hal-le-lu-jah! (3x)
+ THE GOSPEL + Reader: The Lord be with you. Response: And also with you. Reader: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 25:31-46. Response: Glory to Christ our Saviour. 31 ‘When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32
All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, 33 and He will put the sheep at His right hand and the goats at the left. 34 Then the King will say to those at His right hand, “Come, you that are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed Me, 36
8
I was naked and you gave Me clothing, I was sick and you took care of Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.” 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, “Lord, when was it that we saw You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You something to drink? 38 And when was it that we saw You a stranger and welcomed You, or naked and gave You clothing? 39 And when was it that we saw You sick or in prison and visited You?” 40
And the King will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of My family, you did it to Me.” 41 Then He will say to those at His left hand, “You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and His angels; 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome Me, naked and you did not give Me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.” 44
Then they also will answer, “Lord, when was it that we saw You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of You?” 45 Then He will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.” 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.’ Reader: This is the Gospel of Christ. Response: Praise to Christ our Lord.
SERMON………………….……………….…THE REV’D A. BUDHU
HYMN AFTER THE SERMON — 9:30 AM………………………..“HE LIVES”
HOLY BAPTISM
HYMN AFTER BAPTISM — 9:30 AM………………………………....A&M 726
I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him, He's always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me, Along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives: He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me, I see His loving care,
And tho’ my heart grows weary, I never will despair;
I know that He is leading, thru all the stormy blast, The day of His appearing,
will come at last.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs,
to Jesus Christ the King! The hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find, None other is so loving, so good and kind.
I was made a Christian When my name was given, One of God’s dear children, And an heir of Heaven. In the name of Christian I will glory now, Evermore remember My baptismal vow.
I must, like a Christian, Shun all evil ways, Keep the faith of Jesus, Serve Him all my days. Call’d to be a Christian, I will praise the Lord, Seek for His assistance So to keep my word.
All a Christian’s blessings I will claim for mine: Holy work and worship, Fellowship divine. Father, Son and Spirit, Give me grace, that I Still may live a Christian, And a Christian die.
9
THE PROFESSION OF FAITH: THE NICENE CREED — 7:00 AM: ALL: We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven
and earth, of all that is seen or unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
INTERCESSIONS — FORM D: Leader: Our Heavenly Father has promised through our Lord Jesus Christ to
hear us when we pray in faith. Let us therefore pray for the Church and the World, and let us thank God for His goodness.
We pray for the Church of God in every place; especially for this Diocese, our Bishops Drexel, Laish, Gilbert and Michael, and all the people of God.
ALL: Strengthen Your Church to carry forward the work of Christ; that we and all who confess Your Name may unite in truth, live together in Your love, and reveal Your glory to the world.
Leader: We pray for our country, for Arthur, our Governor-General, Hubert, our Prime Minister; Perry, our Leader of the Opposition; and for all the nations of the world, and for all peoples in their various callings.
ALL: Direct this nation and all nations in the ways of justice and truth. Give wisdom to all in positions of public trust and authority; that they may promote the prosperity, godliness and peace of Your people everywhere.
Leader: We pray for our own community, for this parish, for our families, friends, and all who live and work with us.
ALL: Give grace to all our friends and neighbours in Christ, that we may serve Him in one another and grow together in His love.
Leader: We pray for the poor, the sick, the unemployed, the handicapped all who have requested our prayers and all who seek the prayers of the Church in their time of trouble.
ALL: Give healing and strength to all who suffer in body, mind or spirit. Give them courage and hope in their troubles and sustain all those who remember and care for them.
Leader: We commemorate the departed. ALL: We commend all people to Your unfailing love, that in them Your
will may be fulfilled; and we rejoice at the faithful witness of Your saints in every age, praying that we may share with them in Your
10
eternal kingdom.
Leader: Accept these prayers, O Lord our God, for the sake of Your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
ALL: Amen.
ACT OF PENITENCE: Celebrant: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in
us. If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Let us therefore confess our sins.
Please Kneel.
ALL: Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, we have sinned against You and one another, in thought, word and deed, and in what we have left undone. We are sorry and repent of all our sins. For Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, forgive us all that is past, and grant that we may serve You in newness of life to the glory of Your Name. Amen.
THE ABSOLUTION Celebrant: Almighty God, have mercy upon you, pardon and deliver you from all
your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness, and keep you in life eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
ALL: Amen.
Please Stand.
THE PEACE — FORM A: Celebrant: We are the Body of Christ. By the one Spirit we were all baptized
into one Body, and have all been made to drink of the one Spirit. ALL: Let us then pursue the things that make for peace and build up
the common life.
Celebrant: The peace of the Lord be always with you. ALL: And also with you.
THE COWBOY AND THE PREACHER One Sunday, a cowboy went to church. When he entered, he saw that he and the preacher were the only ones present. The preacher asked the cowboy if he wanted him to go ahead and preach. The cowboy said, "I'm not too smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I'd feed him." So the minister began his sermon. One hour passed, then two hours, then two-and-a-half hours. The preacher finally finished and came down to ask the cowboy how he had liked the sermon. The cowboy answered slowly, "Well, I'm not very smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I sure wouldn't feed him all the hay."
HONOR THY BROTHER A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin, 5, and Ryan, 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, "Let my brother have the first pancake. I can wait." Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, "Ryan, you be Jesus."

COLLECTION HYMNS — 7:00 AM…………………………...……….A&M 301
COLLECTION — 9:30 AM……………..….ST. GREGORY’S SENIOR CHOIR
OFFERTORY HYMN………………….“BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC”
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord; He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps; I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His day is marching on.
I have read a fiery Gospel writ in burnished rows of steel; “As ye deal with My contemners, so with you My grace shall deal”; Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with His heel, Since God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Since God is marching on.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat; Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet; Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me: As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free; While God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! While God is marching on.
He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave, He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave; So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave, Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.
The Head that once was crown’d with thorns, Is crown’d with glory now: A royal diadem adorns The mighty Victor’s Brow.
The highest place that Heav’n affords Is His, is His by right, The King of kings, and Lord of lords, And Heav’n’s eternal Light.
The Joy of all who dwell above, The Joy of all below, To whom He manifests His love, And grants His Name to know.
To them the Cross, with all its shame, With all its grace, is given: Their name an everlasting name, Their joy the joy of Heav’n.
They suffer with their Lord below, They reign with Him above; Their profit and their joy to know The mystery of His love.
The Cross He bore is life and health, Though shame and death to Him; His people’s hope, His people’s wealth, Their everlasting theme.
19
THE PRESENTATION OF THE OFFERING: ALL: Praise God from Whom all blessing flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below,
Praise Him, above ye heavenly host, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Celebrant Father, we offer You these gifts which You have given us; & People: this bread, this wine, this money. With them we offer ourselves,
our lives, and our work, to become through Your Holy Spirit a reasonable, holy, and lively sacrifice. As this bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ, so may we and all Your people become channels of Your love; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER — FORM A: Celebrant: The Lord be with you. ALL: And also with you.
Celebrant: Lift up your hearts. ALL: We lift them up to the Lord.
Celebrant: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. ALL: It is right to give God thanks and praise.
Celebrant: It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give You thanks, Father almighty, everlasting God:
PREFACE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION: Because in Jesus Christ our Lord You have received us as Your sons
and daughters, made us citizens of Your kingdom, and given us the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth.
Therefore we praise You, joining our voices with Angels and Archangels and with all the company of heaven, who forever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of Your Name:
7:00 AM: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might; heaven and earth are full of Your glory, Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
9:30 AM: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, holy is the Lord God Almighty. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, holy is the Lord God Almighty. Who was, and is, and is to come, holy, holy, holy is the Lord.
Celebrant: All Holy and glorious Father, our Creator God. We give You thanks because in Your loving wisdom You brought all things into being, and are truly worthy of praise from every creature You have made.
Again and again we have turned away from You: yet in every age Your steadfast love has called us to return to live in union with You: for it is Your eternal purpose to put new life into all things and make them holy.
Through Your Son, Jesus Christ who took our human nature upon Him You have redeemed the world from the bondage of sin: and by the power of Your Holy Spirit You have gathered a people to Yourself, to make known in every place His perfect offering which He made to the glory of Your Name.
Hear us, therefore, Father, through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; and grant that these gifts of bread and wine may be unto us His Body and Blood.
For, on the night He was betrayed He took bread, and when He had given thanks to You, He broke it and gave it to His disciples and said:
“Take this, and eat it: This is My Body which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of Me.”
And after supper He took the cup of wine: and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them and said: “Drink this, all of you: This is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of Me.”
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith. 7:00 AM: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
9:30 AM: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is the Lord, Jesus is the Lord God Almighty. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is the Lord, Jesus is the Lord God Almighty. Who was, and is, and is to come, holy, holy, holy is the Lord.
Celebrant: And so, Heavenly Father, rejoicing in His Holy Incarnation, His Blessed Passion and His Perfect Sacrifice made once for all upon the Cross; His Mighty Resurrection from the dead: His Glorious Ascension into heaven: and looking for His Coming in glory; we offer to You this Bread and this Cup.
We pray that You will accept this sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; and grant that all who eat and drink of the Body and Blood, of Your Son, our great High Priest, may be renewed by Your Holy Spirit, and be one Body, one Spirit, in Him.
Let faith and love increase in us. Unite us with all Bishops. all other ministers of Your Word and Sacraments, and with the whole people of God, living and departed, whom You have made for Yourself.
Confirm us in holiness, that we may be found ready to join the company of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Apostles, St. Gregory and all Your saints, when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again: forever giving You thanks and praise through Him from Whom all good things do come.
With Him and in Him and through Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we worship You, Father Almighty, with all who stand before You in earth and heaven, in songs of everlasting praise:
7:00 AM: Blessing and honour and glory and power be yours for ever and ever. Amen. 9:30 AM: Glory, glory, glory to the Lord, glory to the Lord God Almighty. Glory, glory, glory to the Lord, glory to the Lord God Almighty. Who was, and is, and is to come, holy, holy, holy is the Lord.
Please Stand (9:30 a.m.)
THE LORD’S PRAYER — 7:00 AM: Celebrant: As our Saviour has taught us, so we pray: ALL: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name; Your kingdom
come; Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours now and forever. Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER — 9:30 AM:
20
Leader: Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On the earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us all our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
ALL: Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name.
THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD—FORM A: Celebrant: We break this Bread to share in the Body of Christ. ALL: Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in
one Bread.
THE INVITATION—FORM A: Celebrant: My Brothers and Sister in Christ, draw near and receive His Body
which He gave for you, and His Blood, which He shed for you. Remember that He died for you, and feed on Him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.
ALL: Grant gracious Lord, that we so eat the flesh of Your dear Son Jesus Christ, and drink His Blood, that we may evermore dwell in
Him and He in us.
THE AGNUS DEI: ALL: Lamb of God, You take away the sin of the world: have mercy on
us. Lamb of God, You take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us. Lamb of God, You take away the sin of the world: grant us peace.
COMMUNION HYMN…………………………………………………...A&M 555
COMMUNION HYMN……………………………..“HOW GREAT THOU ART”
O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder, Consider all the world’s Thy Hands have made; I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy Power through out the universe displayed.
21
PRAYER BEFORE COMMUNION
Father in Heaven, You have made us for Yourself; our hearts are restless until they rest in You. Fulfill this longing through Jesus, the Bread of Life, so that we may witness to Him Who alone satisfies the hungers of the human family. By the power of Your Spirit lead us to the Heavenly Table where we may feast on the vision of Your glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Lord, enthroned in heavenly splendour, First begotten from the dead, Thou alone, our strong Defender, Liftest up Thy people’s head. Alleluia, Jesu, True and Living Bread!
Here our humblest homage pay we; Here in loving reverence bow; Here for Faith’s discernment pray we, Lest we fail to know Thee now. Alleluia, Thou art here, we ask not how.
Though the lowliest form doth veil Thee As of old in Bethlehem, Here as there Thine Angels hail Thee, Branch and Flower of Jesse’s stem. Alleluia, we in worship join with them.
Paschal Lamb, Thine Offering, finish’d Once for all when Thou wast slain, In its fulness undiminish’d Shall for evermore remain, Alleluia, cleansing souls from every stain.
Life-imparting Heavenly Manna, Stricken Rock with streaming Side, Heav’n and earth with loud Hosanna, worship Thee, The Lamb Who died, Alleluia, risen, Ascended, Glorified!
And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from all that is evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory,
For ever and ever and ever and ever. Amen, amen, it shall be so!
Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name. Hallowed be Thy Name.
Then sings my soul, my Saviour, God, to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art; Then sings my soul, my Saviour, God, to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in. That on the Cross, my burdens gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin.
When Christ shall come, with shouts of acclamation, And take me Home, what joy shall fill my heart; Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, And there proclaim, my God how great Thou art.
CHILDREN’S BLESSING—9:30 AM…………..“IT ONLY TAKES A SPARK”
Please Kneel.
POST COMMUNION PRAYER – FORM A: ALL: Almighty Father, we thank You for feeding us with the Body and
Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ. May we who share His Body live His risen life; we who drink His cup bring life to others; we upon whom Your Spirit shines give light to the world. Help us to continue in faithful witness to Your Word, so we and all Your children shall be free and the whole earth live to praise Your Name, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
PRAYER AT THE TIME OF TRANSITION: Celebrant: O God, by Your grace You have called us in this Diocese to a goodly
fellowship of faith. Bless our retiring Bishop, Drexel, and our incoming Bishop, Laish, and all of our clergy and people. Grant that Your Word may be truly preached and truly heard, Your sacraments faithfully administered and faithfully received.
Remove from us any encumbrances or sin that restrict us, and increase within us Your reconciling love. Pour out upon us Your Spirit of peace and of unity. Make us receptive to the guidance of Your Holy Spirit as we journey onward. Renew our vision, energy and passion for Your work and ministry. Fashion our lives according to the example of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and help us to show the power of Your love to all among whom we live; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
ALL: Amen.
22
It only takes a spark, To get a fire going; And soon all those around, Can warm up it it's glowing. That's how it is with God's love, Once you've experienced it, You spread His love to everyone, You want to pass it on.
What a wondrous time is Spring When all the trees are budding. The birds begin to sing, The flowers start their blooming. That's how it is with God's love, Once you've experienced it, You want to sing, it's fresh like spring, You want to pass it on.
I wish for you my friend This happiness that I've found You can depend on Him It matters not where your bound. I'll shout it from the mountain top I want the world to know The Lord of Love has come to me I want to pass it on.
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of Him, Who brings good news, good news. Announcing Peace, proclaiming news of happiness, Our God reigns, our God reigns. Our God reigns, (hallelujah), Our God reigns, (hallelujah), Our God reigns, our God reigns.
He had no stately form, He had no majesty, That we should be drawn to Him. He was despised and we took no account of Him, Yet now He reigns with the most high. Now He reigns, (hallelujah), Now He reigns, (hallelujah), Now He reigns with the most high.
It was our sin and guilt that bruised and wounded Him, It was our sin that brought Him down. When we like sheep had gone astray our Shepherd came, And on His shoulders bore our shame. On His shoulders, (hallelujah), On His shoulders, (hallelujah), On His shoulders He bore our shame.
Meek as a lamb that’s led out to the slaughter house, Dumb as a sheep before its shearer. His life ran down upon the ground like pouring rain, That we might be born again. That we might be, (hallelujah), That we might be, (hallelujah), That we might be born again.
Out from the tomb He came with grace and majesty. He is alive! He is alive! God loves us so, see here His hands, His feet, His side, Yes we know, He is alive! He is alive! (Hallelujah!), He is alive! (Hallelujah!), He is alive! He is alive!
THE BLESSING: Celebrant: The blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy
Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. ALL: Amen.
RECESSIONAL HYMN — 7:00 AM…………..……………………….A&M 704
Ye servants of God, your Master proclaim, And publish abroad His wonderful Name: The Name all-victorious of Jesus extol; His Kingdom is glorious, and rules over all.
God ruleth on high, almighty to save; And still He is nigh; His presence we have. The great congregation His triumph shall sing, Ascribing salvation to Jesus our King.
Salvation to God Who sits on the throne! Let all cry aloud, and honour the Son. The praises of Jesus the Angels proclaim, Fall down on their faces, and worship Lamb.
Then let us adore, and give Him His right: All glory and power, all wisdom and might, And honour and blessing, with Angels above, And thanks never-ceasing, and infinite love.
