Spring Break is an annual week off fromschool and for some young people, a week of reduced supervision and
experimentation with drugs and alcohol. We want to help our youth in making
some better choices by making sure there are healthy, local, affordable
alternatives.

Teens in Action
Teens in Action (T.I.A.) is a group ofdynamic and diverse high school students
in Lake Orion public schools, who volunteertheir time and talents to support the
North Oakland Community Coalition's (NOCC)prevention of underage substance use
and abuse. We meet on a regular basis totalk about current issues and trends
The T.I.A. works together with NOCCand community sectors to come up
with creative ways to promote positive,substance -free choices.
