If torn there is a chance of surgery needed.

Calve Perth’s Disease

Mallet Finger

Signs and Symptoms

Pain and tenderness.Swelling and redness.Inability to completely extend finger.Distal phalange in bent position.

Mallet Finger

Treatment

Most do not need medical attention.

Splint (6-8 weeks)

Surgery (Fire Wire kept in for 4-6 weeks)

Jersey Finger

Mechanism/Definition

Hyperextension of the distal phalange while in a clutching or grabbing position tearing the flexor tendon.

Jersey Finger

Sign and Symptoms

Pain when moving finger.Inability to bend.Pop or rip felt when first occurs.Bruising after 48hrs.Tenderness.Lump felt in palm or finger.

Jersey Finger

Treatment

Splint (6-10 weeks).

Reconstructive or fusion surgery (7-10 days for optimal results).

Floppy finger tip- results from not getting surgery.

Velocity Performance and Rehab CenterI had a second degree ankle sprain senior

year of high school.

I went to velocity for rehab twice a week.

They helped me get back to game shape as soon as humanly possible.
