What a great time it is to be a woman.
Times to reach out
Dreamers
What I learned from Kathmandu to Killarny
As we travel we reclaim our sense of self and strength.
Travel takes us to the core of ourselves and it changes us.
Best ideas: In the shower.
No distractions.Good thinking when it’s just me, water and soap.
Time Alone
“Every day so something that scares you.”
And do something to make life worth living.
-Eleanor Roosevelt

The Next Chapter
An idea.An adventure. Push the envelope a little. And most of all…..because my daughter asked me!
Be Flexible
We rode the Western Express Route from San Francisco to Pueblo, Colorado then joined the TransAmerica Bike Trail from Pueblo to Yorktown, Virginia.
We're Shrinking! When I realized this a few years ago I compared notes with my sisters and mother; we discovered that between us we've lost six inches due to osteoporosis.
Recently I learned that girls acquire 85-90% of their bone mass by age 18. During this period in their lives my daughters lived at home and I made breakfast and dinner every day.
That’s our mission: educate moms and daughters and raise funds for NOF.Get Involved!Sponsor-A-Mile

The finish line at a “century race”. All part of rigorous training. Riding, spinning, weight lifting, yoga
June 4th we took off and soon we were riding through farmland
Our first night - wild peacocks in the campground at Lake Solono Regional Park outside Winters.
Silenced by the sight and sound of the male peacock
Gold Country
Famous Candy Shop Licorice, Green Apple, Raspberry, Tangerine, Pina Colada
Learned to be silly and laugh over small things.
Be Fearless
Taking calculated risks.
Uphill to Carson Pass, 8,574’ then down to Nevada.
A time for thought, to quiet our busy minds and still our souls so that we might hear the small voice within and discern the implications of the voice.
Perhaps the monks who take vows of silence understand the preciousness of silence that a culture on cell phones cannot
Keep truckin’
Try to stay out of harm’s way.
Stopping for a photo in the wrong corn field.
Chiggar Bites.
Roadside Wildlife. Baby frogs on the road turn into a nightmare.
If people tell you you’re too old to learn a new task, or to try something new…
Twelve Books, 5 Continents
At different moments in our lives travel is
necessary for:
Rejuvenation
Spirit boosting
Self discovery
Self-esteem
Healing or celebration
Challenge Excitement
There is no better place to find yourself,
No better time
Than when clinging to a cliff
To discover that the better half
Is not the one you left behind, but the
one within.
Girlfriend getaways
are gifts to ourselves
and one another.
Our purpose is to unwind,
catch up, refocus, renew
and nurture ourselves and
each other.
You can’t choose how you’re going to die or when....
You can only really decide how you’re going to live.
Joan Baez
REGRET
I never regretted any trip I took, no matter how
inconvenient, expensive, or unnecessary it seemed at
the planning stage.
I only regretted the trips I didn’t take.
We’re running out of time…
There is an irony to travel.
The freedom of youth.
Travel takes us back to that nirvana and makes life simple again.
With a lightened load ….
