Radiography
1. Mass lesion similar density to muscle / displacement of fat pad line
2. Mass in the hand and feet more likely to be benign
3. Mass in the thigh , calf and arm more likely to be malignant
4. Low density masses content fat , like lipoma , haemangioma ,hibernoma and lipoblastoma / well defined liposarcoma , atypical lipoma
5. FB glass and metal seen by X- ray / wood and plastic not seen well by X-ray
6. Mineralization seen in 17% of soft tissue masses
7. Phleboliths hallmark of VMs
8. Chondral calcification = punctate foci in comma shape , ring and arcs
9. Myositis ossificans / amorphous in immature type – trabecule and cortex
10. SS synovial sarcoma 30% calcification
11. Bone abnormality
