in the Siachen region

Avalanche struck

Pakistani Military

Headquarters at Gyari

139 Paksitani Soldiers

including 11 civilians were killed

Bodies of Pakistani Soldiers

were Buried under Snow

Rescue Team worked

for more than

one year to take out the

Dead bodies

Too much Human

and Economical

Loss

The glacier was

uninhabited before

1984

India and

Pakistan have fought

intermittently since April 1984.

Both countries Maintain a permanent

military Presence in the region

at a height of

over 6,000 m

The Siachen glacier

is known as the world’s

highest battlefield

It cost about

$ 1.4 million a day for keeping

military troops there

Frostbite kills

more than 40 percent of all the soldiers

deployed in Siachen

and its adjacent

approaches

Why???Why

Pakistan is Facing all this?

Indian troops are

damaging on a

daily basis the environment

of Siachen

Pakistan asked for

demilitarization from both

sides several times

But India refuses

BecauseIndia

wants to control the

water of Indus River,

whose main

source is Siachen Glacier

India wants to break the link between China and Pakistan

India fears that

China and

Pakistan could join

their forces to dislodge India from the region

This issue needed

to be resolved

to STOP

future loss
