Endocrine Organs

The nervous system stimulates the hypothalamus

The hypothalamus produces 9 hormones and stimulates the pituitary

The pituitary produces 7 hormones stimulates the rest of the endocrine organs.

Releasing hormones cause the anterior pituitary to release a specific hormone. They are produced by the hypothalamus

Inhibiting hormone stop a hormones release Hormones with “ stimulating” in their name

are tropic hormones produced by the anterior pituitary. They cause other endocrine glands to produce hormones.

Oxytocin and ADH are produced by the hypothalamus by stored and released by posterior pituitary.

Make a poster describing the control of the hormone your group is given. Use the image to the right as a template. Be sure to fill in the actual receptors and effectors for that hormone.
