Motivation

Implement a fully reconfigurable, flexible and bi-directional optical test-bed.

Experimental characterization of transmission impairments at very high bit rates (exceeding 10 Gbit/s).

Suitable to test optical nodes elements (dispersion compensator, OADMs, etc).

Test over SMF (G.652), NZDSF (G.655) or mix links.

Provide advanced formation to post graduation students
