- River NileMost of the Nile valley is called the red lands. The red lands is the east and west ofEgypt and the rest of Egypt is Known as the black lands.
- Car GoThere were no roads in Egypt so theEgyptians had to use the Nile for travel.So the cargo was shipped. Small boatswould mostly ship grain, but biggerships would carry livestock.
- Facts The Nile floods once a year. The Nile is the longest river in the world but its not the widest. The river is 8-11 meters deep.
- Fishing and HuntingThe Egyptians would hunt duck and throw aheavy throwing stick. Some times the cat wassent to get the bird. Sometimes a team on aboat would catch a hippo and if they did theywould kill it. The Ancient Egyptians believe thatif they killed a hippo it would bring peace totheir village.
- Travel
- BuildingsThe Sphinx and all other buildings were near theNile because it was a place where the Egyptianscould live and it was the only way to travel.
