Using WorldCat and Library Express

Using WorldCat

• Requests placed through MadCat will not be mailed to off campus students.

• WorldCat can facilitate the process of ordering books with library express.

• Access WorldCat from library home page: http://library.wisc.edu

Search for the Book by Title and/or Author

Clicking the Books tab is optional but may help narrow your search

Narrow Your Results

Click the sidebar links to refine your search, limiting by Author, Format, Year, Content, Language or Topic.

Click the Book You Want

Verify the Information About the Book

Make sure you have the right author, edition and year of publication

More details, including the ISBN, are available further down the page.

Click on the Library Express Link

Login to Your Library Express Account

11th digit is ID’s issue code

Verify Bibliographic Information

Decide if you will accept other editions.

Enter Your Address and Submit

Insert your address in the notes box every time you place a request.

Items usually ship within 3 to 10 days.

On the right sidebar you can cancel or edit your request

Request a Chapter from Library Express Home

To receive a chapter, click Request an Article or Other Copy.

Complete Chapter Request Form

Title, Year and Chapter Title are required.

ISBN or OCLC Number will speed up process.

Available at Library Express Home

Digitized chapter will usually be available online in 3-7 days. Click View Electronically Received Articles.
