Turkey’s AIS Network System is fully operational since 9 July 2007.

Network

AIS Network consists of 25 base stations.

AIS Coverage is between 100-200 nautical miles fromTurkish coasts.

Using Turkey’s geographical advantage AIS base stationsplaced on high mountains which covered all around thecoasts.

Safety of Navigation

New VTS Projects are underway at İzmit, İzmir and Mersin-İskenderun ports and bays where themaritime traffic is dense.
