DESCRIPTION

A year ago I had to say goodbye to my best friend & beloved brindle pit bull mix, Roo. Eight years earlier, he rescued me from the depths of despair--truly giving a post 9-11 world meaning again. He charmed everyone lucky enough to be greeted by his full body wags, loving brown eyes, & sweet kisses. He will always be cherished.

Roo

A tribute to my best friend, who brought so many of usso much love & joy…

Looking back…

It’s hard to say who rescued whom at Delaware Humane….

Home at last…

Thanks to Godmommy Aunt Barbara!

Enjoying our first year in Delaware…

Quite the little poser…

Who? Me?!

First Snow…

Our first few years in MD, we practically lived at Robert E. Lee Park (aka Doggy Disneyland)—where we met some of our best buddies & later hosted Beagles & Bagels….

One of the many walks & yappy hours we enjoyed to benefit the SPCA, Humane Society & BARCS….

For some strange reason this new buddy reminds me of Beggin’ Strips!

In Mt. Washington, Roo met his best buddy Gypsy who was always up for tug with Roo’s favorite toy—Mister Hiss….

Hanging out on Sulgrave with Baby…

Birthday fun…

Note the expert paw-free Frosty Paws technique!

Nothing beats unstuffing! Too big? Never!

Irrational exuberance…

The indignities of many a Halloween…

The Cat in the Hat & a fairy—how could she?!

Meeting Kabuki Kitty…

Lounge-A-Roo…

Can you guess why Thanksgiving was Roo’s favorite holiday?

Grandma’s Cooking…

Grandpa’s Carving…

& lots of leftovers!

Tryptophan…

Hanukkah Hoopla…

Official Latkapalooza Mascot

It’s my first Hanukkah. Why didn’t anybody

warn me to pace myself to

last for 8 nights?!

Of course there was no need for a holiday to celebrate—Roo’s tail was always wagging!

(faster than the camera’s eye!)

I’m ready for my close ups…

In Loving Memory of

Roo
