TRANSCRIPT

“What’s Next?”Sunday pm worship, July 13

Scripture reading:

Acts 4:23-31

Acts 4:23-3123 And being let go, they (Peter and John) went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

Acts 4:23-3124 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,

Acts 4:23-3125 who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ‘Why did the nations rage, qnd the people plot vain things?

Acts 4:23-3126 The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the LORD and against His Christ.’

Acts 4:23-3127 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

Acts 4:23-3128 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

Acts 4:23-3130 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

Acts 4:23-3131 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Our Best Excuses

I am afraid of being rejected!

Our Best Excuses We all recognize these as excuses,

not reasons! God has answers to all our excuses! If God is for us, who can be against

us?

What’s Next?

Acts 4:31And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

What’s Next? Everyone make a list of at least 10

people that are lost Pray for those 10 people every day,

several times a day, for one week Pick out the three that are most likely

to hear you

What’s Next? Contact those three and invite them

to study or attend a church service with you. (Aug. 3 is perfect!)

Keep going down your list until you get three to attend or study with you.

What’s Next? When you have your commitments,

email their names to me. The church staff and leadership are going to pray for those people to be receptive to the gospel message.

What’s Next? The evangelism group meets at

5:00pm every 2nd Sunday. Join us on August 10th!

What’s Next? At that meeting we will share with you

our plans that will include:- A list of men and women that will

assist you in holding Bible studies- A class to train anyone willing to

learn how to hold a personal Bible study

Our Best Excuses

What’s Next? Recognize this will put most of us

outside our comfort zone. Also recognize that this effort can

bring your loved ones into the comfort of God’s family and save their souls.

1Corinthians 9:19-2319 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;

1Corinthians 9:19-2320 and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law;

1Corinthians 9:19-2321 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law;

1Corinthians 9:19-2322 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 23 Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.

Acts 26:17,1817 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,

Acts 26:17,1818 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

2Corinthians 6:3-103 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. 4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,

2Corinthians 6:3-105 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,

2Corinthians 6:3-107 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

2Corinthians 6:3-109 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
