Write down 5 things on yourGraffiti Board that you use

with EC students that are very successful.

Tic Tac Toe Boards

Use of Rubrics - Give them prior to theproject being due so they know

what is expected.

Have students write their own questions.

Ways to Move Students into Independent Work3-2-1 Strategy

Teach a concept to the entire class.Place 3 students in a group and have them work together on a problem/assignment.

Place 2 students in a group and have them work together on a problem/assignment.

Have individual students work on a problem/assignment.

This strategy builds independence and confidence throughout the lesson.

Management Strategies

-Use of STOP cards-Use of sticky notes-Use of colored cups during independent practice-Use of pinch strips/YES-NO cards-Use of creative pairings using dots-Use of stress balls (sand balloons)-Use of carpet squares-Build relationships with your students (interest inventory-BINGO)-Use of THINK ABOUT IT sheets
