Progress in chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country to introduce Food Security Act for the poor people. The whole state of Chhattisgarh is

considered as a model state for the overall development of the country.

It has set the milestones of development in the various fields such as agriculture, education, bridges and road development, public work

department.

The Chhattisgarh government has formulated various welfare schemes for the poor, farmers and all the other sections of the society which will increase the speed of

progress in Chhattisgarh.

To fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make In India’ dream, the new policy of ‘Make in Chhattisgarh’ will be the main attraction of new industrial policy of the state.

Chhattisgarh’s industrial progress should be linked with jobs and workers interests that must be protected while deliberating on

the new ‘Five-Year Industrial Policy (2014-2019)’ with the senior officers at their official residence here.

The fourth industrial policy after the formation of state will define the progress in Chhattisgarh. The local

unemployed people should be given jobs in the industries and more job avenues must be created for them.

The young generation should be encouraged to start their own enterprises so that they don’t have to depend upon the others and can own

their own stand.

The Chhattisgarh state has invited huge investment in core sectors like Steel, Power, Cement and Aluminium. For improving the pace of progress in the state, about 120

Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed since the inception of the State and 60 MoUs had been

implemented and expanded.

The 60 MoUs are under various stages of implementation. The estimated amount of Rs 44,000 Crore was invested in State till now for the purpose of development. The results of 2009-14 Industrial

Policy were encouraging.

The focus of the new industrial policy is on non-core sector like Agriculture, Automotive, Alternate

Energy, Information Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Tourism.

The weaker sections of the society should be motivated and given equal partnership in progress in Chhattisgarh

in the coming years. It must deal with issues such as providing employment to women, Naxal-affected

families, Ex-servicemen, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.

The factor of transparency should be observed while acquiring land for small-scale, medium and large

industries.

Land bank must be developed for mega-industries. Special packages should be given to deprived sections

of the society so that they can also take active participation in all the activities regarding progress in

Chhattisgarh.
