Caring For Our Neighbors
Happy New Year to you!
Throughout the Christmas and Thanksgiving seasons, then on into the new year during the freezing-cold winter
time, the Emergency Food Pantry is an especially busy place. This month, let’s help replenish those empty
shelves at the pantry with non-perishable food items so that workers there can continue serving our community.
Stacy, executive director of the panty, says that all donations of non-perishable food items are much appreciated.
Currently, their greatest needs are for canned fruits, canned green peas, canned green beans, tuna, peanut
butter……and laundry detergent. Please place your donations of these listed items, or whatever else you choose,
in our Pontoppidan grocery cart, which is by the coatracks in the education wing. We’ll be happy to deliver
them for you!
As you likely know, we accept donations of bath-size bars of soap for Lutheran World Relief year ‘round and
they may, as usual, be left in the marked bin by the church office.
Respectfully and with thankfulness for your partnership,
Jackie Jabens Stewardship Rep

QUILTERS News
Thanks so much for all the support. Your
donations of used sheets and unwanted fabric
make it possible to make over 150 quilts a year.
Your donations are important in keeping the
quilting ministry going strong. Please feel free to
join us. There are things to do for all abilities.
NOKOMIS News
A big thank you to the 20 families who
contributed to Nokomis Child Care Center for
Christmas. I’m sure there were many happy
