SLETTER
LAST DAY OF TERM.
Thank you Thank you Thank you… all round. Thanks to parents, staff and
students for once again working together towards providing the best possible
education for our students at Nilma. While
the building program has taken longer than expected—with patience and focus on
things we have no control over has enabled us to continue as a team to work on things
we can change. Thanks to parents for supporting many school programs this
term.
Students have been actively participating in many learning opportunities. Thanks for
being great kids!
Wishing you all a happy and safe holiday.
While students have been actively participating in Bike Education—there is still
a need for adult supervision while children are riding their bikes—especially near the
roads. Have a wonderful well earned rest!
Looking forward to a fourth term full of lots of active learning. Already on the
calendar—swimming—sporting team events—Author visits and writing program—
science as our focus with an incursion with
Science Circus in late October and the school production—the term will fly on by.
Reminder that Mr Williams will be principal in my absence in the first 3 weeks.
NILMA PRIMARY SCHOOL BIKE
EDUCATION AWARDS This year we had a slightly abridged version
of Bike Education—however we still managed to have our own Bike Education
Challenge for students in years 3 to 6. We
will award the prizes to students tomorrow on the last day of term.
SWIMMING Thankyou to those parents who have already paid the $20 for the swimming program. A reminder, that all money must be paid by the end of this term, as swimming starts the first day back of Term 4. Permission forms must be brought back by the end of Term 3. If your child has had lessons between last swimming program and 2011 program just let the teachers know. The first session will assess skills and groups may change on first session. SCIENCE CIRCUS—coming to town.. Nilma Primary School will be hosting an incursion from Questacon—science circus as part of our science focus for the term. We will have a visit from the circus . Nilma staff along with other staff in the area can stay and learn more about science concepts—then on the weekend students will be able to take the family along to the Science Exhibition in Warragul on the Saturday! More info next term! SCHOOL PRODUCTION—Scaree Nights The date for the School Production is Thursday 8th December at the Drouin Auditorium. Students are currently auditioning for the main cast roles. Roles will be cast today, this will allow several weeks for students to rehearse lines in preparation for a fabulous performance. Students will have a full day practice at the Auditorium on this day. More information will follow next term.

Then we went on to Venice, Assisi, Rome, Florence and Nice yesterday. Weather here has been hot 28+ Have not managed to get lost. Ven-ice with its canals was amazing.
