2010-2011 Enrollment

Preschool- 115 and over 70 on the wait listElementary- 224 with capped grades at K,

3, and 7 Elementary school enrollment up roughly 40

students from 2009-2010 school year.

THAT OUR CHILDREN MIGHT KNOW HIM

3 years ago a plan was implemented to revitalize Prince of Peace School. Using a 13 step plan, Prince of Peace focused on these 5 areas of our school

Excellence in Education Faith and discipleship in Jesus Christ Healthy, well-rounded young adults Partnership with parents Affordable quality education

SMT (School Ministry Team) has been responsible to oversee the completion of this plan

ADDITIONAL 3RD GRADE We are planning on adding a second 3rd

grade class to continue growth and expansion

Plans for classroom reorganization are being looked at

Grade expansion allows us to keep class sizes small

NEW 2 STORY CLASSROOM BUILDING

CAMPUS SECURITY We are looking at ways to increase the

security of the school campus during the day. Faculty and staff are already wearing picture i.ds., new cameras are being installed, and other actions are being explored to ensure the safety of the children.

NEW SCHOOL MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE Ease of management and access to

student information On-line grade book for all teachers* One-stop shopping for grades,

calendars, and schedules* Mass email system

*looking at grade levels and expectations for recording grades, and posting assignments

OUR CHALLENGE As we grow and expand over the next

few years, our challenge is to keep the “small school community” while we become a bigger school

Continue to be a school of choice- always strive to be the best for our students and families

WHAT CAN YOU DO Help with security- check in/check out in

the office during the school day If you cannot pick up your child by 3:15, use

after school care- students will be sent after 3:15

Work through the system to address issues and concerns

Continue being positive about Prince of Peace
