A comparative story

In the beginning...

... the human beings arrived in Taranto

And then the greeks arrived ...

In Puglia...

... and in Catalonia, too

Afterwards, the romans...

...and the muslims.

In the XII century...

...while the Normands (Vikings) were ruling Southern Italy

Aragon and Catalonia got married

The Crown of Aragonspread to the Mediterranian Sea

commanded by the Catalans

Alfons ‘The Magnanimus’ conquered the Naples Kingdom in 1.442

... and built the Aragonese Castle

The Aragonese Crown dissapeared and the kingdom of Naples was ruled firstly by the Austrians and after 1735

by the Spanish Bourbon dinasty.

After the French Revolution…

The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies was born in 1815 and

later, after Garibaldi’s Expedition of the Thousand, was disolved and annexed to the new Kingdom of Italy in

1860.Catalonia have remained in the Spanish
