This project Record Maintenance System

is windows application in which user

add, delete, view and modify records of the Students. Using this software the

Record Maintenance will become easier,

efficient and can be implemented using

existing system. The main advantage of

the project is the computerization of the

current manual Record Maintenance

process.

FEATURESFEATURESThere are 7 features in this project. They are as: User/Administrator Login

Adding and Saving an Student Account by User

Display of all the Student Accounts Already Entered

Searching of Student Account based on Unique ID

Changing Student Account Details as Name, Address, Contact Number, etc.

Deletion of an Student Account

Validation Functions

Checking the length and validity of Unique ID

Checking the length and validity of User Details

Checking the Duplication of the Unique ID Student Account Details must contain

Record Maintenance System (RMS) isapplication software developed for speeding upthe process of computerized Record Maintenanceof Student Accounts. The system will be handled

by the User of the system only. A user can add, delete, display, search and change

Student Account.

It has wide range of scope in private and public

sector which includes all government agencies,MNC¶s, Schools, Colleges, institutions, Banks andmany more for easy access of records.

Module-1

Phase I: Addition Customer Accounts

User/Administrator Login: The input can be user id and

password or password only. It is to login to the system.

Adding and Saving Customer Account: The inputs are

Unique ID, Name, Address, Contact No, System Generated

Date, etc.

Validation Functions on the Inputs: Checking the length,validity and duplication of Unique ID, Checking the length

and validity of various User Account Details.

Display of all the Customer Accounts Already Entered:

There is no input required. The various Account Details can

be viewed one by one.

Phase II: Maintenance of Customer Accounts

Searching of Customer Account based on Unique ID:

The input is Unique ID of Customer Account. AnyCustomer Account can be searched by providing UniqueID for the concerned record.

Changing Customer Account Details: The input isUnique ID of Customer Account. Changing of Customer

Account Details as Name, Address, Contact Number,etc.

Deletion of a Customer Account: The input is UniqueID of Customer Account. It deletes Customer Accountdetails of the particular Customer.

Software requirement:- 1) Linux operating system.

2) Language C (IPC pipes, file-handling,ncurses).

Hardware requirement:- 1) 1Gb Hard disk.
