templates Choose Apply The design will appear on all slides
Selecting Color Scheme Open the Slide Design menu Choose color schemes Apply an existing color scheme OR Edit the color scheme
Click apply when you are finished editing the color palette
Select a Background Open the Format Menu Select the Slide Background option Select the new background color from
the color palette Select Apply (single slide) or Apply All to
change all the slides in the presentation
*Note: This option allows you to change the slide background color only. You must edit the color scheme in order to change the entire slide color pattern

Changing The Font: The Entire Presentation Select Format Choose Replace Fonts Scroll down or type in new font for entire
presentation Click on Replace
Practice: Editing Slides Change the font in your first slide Add another slide either using the

Editing Data Select the chart/graph to edit Right click on the chart graph Select Chart Object - Open The data sheet will open in Excel Edit the data Close Excel when finished and your
changes will be saved
Resizing, Moving and Deleting Charts and Graphs Click on the chart/graph object that you want to
resize Move your mouse over one of the corner
anchors (circles along the edges) To enlarge a graph/chart object, move your mouse in
an upward directions to the left To make the chart smaller, move the mouse toward
the bottom right of the screen, while pointing to one of the anchors
To move your chart/graph, move your mouse to the middle of the object and drag it to its new location on the slide
To delete, select the object to remove and press delete or use the delete function in the edit menu

Choose the type of animation from drop down list

For a Live Presentation For the Web For a CD
Live Presentations Select File Save As Give the file a name such as
“powerpoint.ppt” Select a folder to save the file to
such as “Power Point Presentation on your computer or storage device

Saving Your Presentation For the Web When saving a presentation for the
web, you need to create a Power Point Slide Show, abbreviated *.pps
Select File Save As Give the presentation a name
Such as “Power Point.pps” Click ok You are ready to distribute the
presentation on the Internet
Saving Your Presentation to a CD
Select File Save As Name your file (“name.ppt”) Select File Package for CD Insert a blank CD into the disc drive Click Add Files Add your Power Point Presentation
from the folder where you saved it

Printing the Outline Repeat the same steps as listed for
