Poverty

• is the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money or the state of being unable to access resources.

• Absolute poverty or destitution refers to the deprivation of basic human needs

• Relative poverty is defined contextually as economic inequality in the location or society in which people live

• Poverty remains the most critical social problem that needs to be addressed.

• Philippines poverty line marks a per capita income of 16,841 pesos a year.
