Komptech Cetus is a fully automated wood chipper which combines the functions of multiple machines. By using the geometric storage of logs, Cetus provides greatest amounts of wood chips in a very short time.

SHOX is a wrist and forearm protection to wear below your snowboard glove. Intelligent use of materials and mechanical principles make sure that the impact energy of a fallen snowboarder gets reduced severely. The energy reduction prevents sever injuries and fractures. Modern 3D-scan and print technologies enable individual adaptation of the SHOX system to every arm.

TASK

The task was to develop a design concept for mobile, wireless sensors in engine test benches.

In comparison, the handling of current systems is substantially more complex. Because of the wireless transmission of the measurement data, combined with the local energy supply (e.g. solar or battery), no cable connection is necessary anymore.

Not only is the construction radically simplifi ed, but it isalso signifi cantly more fl exible.

Analytical work and conceptual sketches led me to a concrete concept .

63

The technical parts in the transmitter element are coated with a special varnish, which protects them from moisture and heat.

A coloured cap guards the bayonet connector. It is used simultaneously as a color coding to differentiate the various sensor types.

The bayonet connector at the top face is used to connect modules, which can provide additional energy .

65

The easy2add-transmitting element enables wireless data transmission of measured data by an internal rechargeable energy source. If additional energy is required, it can be contributed with pluggable modules.

Task: Develop a packaging which brings added benefi ts.

I developed a packaging for 1-3 pair of children‘s socks. The special thing is a plastic part, which serves not only to hook the product in the store, but it‘s also machine-washable and so simplifi es the sock-order.

After washing the socks with the hooking part, it‘s also usable to hang and dry them.

The task: Build a cubic object with an useful additional value.

I decided to build an arrangement system for my AD markers, because my desk was disordered for so long.

The marker holder is build of two shells. An outer cube which is drilled at an angle multiple times. The inner cube is filled with sand. It ensures a low mass centre and serves as end stop for the markers.
