Phishing can happen to any person usually a electronic

device such as a cell phone or a computer.,

Phishing mostly is

used to get at

people’s private

information, bank

accounts, addresses,

passwords and many

other secret

information.

The most common kind of phishing is when a pop-up comes up on your

screen and says something like “You are the 1,000,000 viewer on this

website” and asks you to put in your password, address, email account

and others.

Phishing isn’t all bad, the US government uses phishing to gain information

about a wanted criminal and will know the exact location that person could

be hiding and also what that person could do next. In fact, the US

government uses the same type of phishing as most people do all the time.

Many people can lose their

information to phishers which

can result in life threating

consequences, such as

identity theft. Another

example is when you lose

your money in which the

person can use to buy

anything resulting in you

paying for it.
