Importance of a universal issue

• I have witnessed people with tattoos be discriminated against.

• My brother has been rejected for jobs because of the tattoos that he has.

• I have watched this issue become a very emotional subject for the people involved.

Stereotypes & Discrimination

• People with tattoos are discriminated against everyday.

• They are portrayed as thugs, bikers or criminals.

• For years they have been held back from opportunities for the art on their skin.

• People with tattoos are and have been the most colorful people in the world for as long as men have walked the earth.

History

• The history of tattoos goes as far back as the ancient Egyptians .

• Over centuries tattoos has been a way of communication for many types of people.

• Even today ancient mummies have been discovered with coded body art.

Importance All Over The World

• Even today Samoan tribes have tattoos as a mainstay.

• In Samoa tattoos are identification or status.

• Tattoos are also used as transition from boyhood to manhood in Chile and Samoa.

Notable People in our society

• Lebron James has tattoos with family ties to his mother and children.

• World Humanitarian Angelina Jolie says she wears her heart on her sleeves.

• Pro-wrestler CM Punk says he uses his tattoos to show his emotion.

ExpressionCM Punk wears his emotions all over his body.

Angelina Jolie is quiet but expresses her mind on her body.

• The epidemic of these stereotypes has to stop

• Peoples lives are being limited to what society wants it to be.

• To know the real story you have to talk to these people to really KNOW THEM!
