Reason for capacitor failure

Problem Description
For a three phase :I used a DC link capacitor for smoothin4 the volta4e2
This capacitor also acts as a volta4e damper and provides a
sort of rid throu4h capabilit0 for an0 sa4 or s/ell in the input
volta4es2 This capacitor is fi"ed in shunt /ith the rectifier and the
inverter
therefore3 an0 fault in it can affect the performance of both
inverter and the rectifier2 In case of open circuit of DC link capacitor3 the inverter 4ets
dc input volta4e /ith ripples3 the fre6uenc0 of /hich is
dependent on the t0pe of input2
