Pediatric Quality Management Unit

Hospitals and other healthcare organization across the globe have been progressively implementing total quality management to reduce costs, improve efficiency, provide high quality patient care, improve patient and family satisfaction and as well as staff satisfaction.

Pediatric Quality Management Unit is a management approach that aims for long-term success by focusing on patient/ family satisfaction in Pediatric Hospital.  It is based on the participation of all members of our hospital in improving processes, products, services, and the culture in which all the staffs are working. Our mission is to deliver an excellent and most advantageous service to all the staffs and to ensure the quality healthcare given to the patient in Pediatric Hospital.

Pediatric Quality Management Unit Services offered

1. Ensuring the quality of services offered in Pediatric Hospital among all healthcare staffs.

2. Providing continuous education and awareness for all the healthcare providers not only in pediatric hospital but also overall KSMC.

3. Develop, review and update Departmental Policies and Procedure and Administrative policy and procedure before implementing in the Hospital.

4. Coordinate in developing new clinical practice guidelines (CPG), protocol and pathway.

5. Manage in creating new projects in the hospital.6. Analyzing and auditing hospital Indicators, and key performance improvement

projects (KPI).7. Design hospital strategic plan and monitor each KPIs result.8. Designing and coordinating with medical director and hospital for updating the job

descriptions and privileging of the physicians.9. Conducting survey/ rounds for continuous improvement and quality of the hospital.

Monitoring the services of the hospital in relation to national (CBAHI) and international (JCIA) standards.

10. Coordinating and solving OVAR’s in the hospital and maintain the integrity among healthcare providers.
