Short Term Car Parking

St Augustine’s Hall Car Park

Please note that the car park behind St Augustine’s Hall is reserved for Priests, staff of Presbytery and parishioners who are visiting the Cathedral for short periods outside of Mass times or calling to the Presbytery.

New Baptismal Font

Through the generous donation of a parish donor a new marble Baptismal Font will be made and

placed in the Cathedral over the next few weeks.

Priests Farewell Mass & Function

On August 24th

the Pastoral Council are holding a farewell

function for Fr Kevin Donohoe and Fr Sean Maguire as they

both leave our parish on Sept 1st. The evening will start with

Mass at 7.30pm in the Cathedral followed by function in Hotel

Kilmore.

The National Launch of the preparation for the 2018 World Meeting of Families takes place during the annual Novena in Knock on Monday 21

st August at 3pm. Throughout the day

there will be a host of workshops and child friendly activities available. A great day out for all the family and as many as possible are encouraged to attend.

Lough Derg – Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage Our Annual Diocesan youth day pilgrimage takes place on Thursday 17

th August. This day is open to all young people over sixteen years or

who have completed Junior Cert. If you are interested in joining us on this pilgrimage please contact Jenny at the Presbytery - 049 4331404.

Novena Programme 2017 – Knock Shrine

Join in nine days of reflection and prayer for the National Novena to Our Lady of Knock from the 14

nd August. Ceremonies will take

Scholarship Programme for Organists St Patrick’s College are launching a scholarship programme for young organists. The programme will seek to increase the number of young organists and will be beneficial to local parishes as enrolment on the programme will require students to play in their local parish. The college is seeking individuals, families and parishes who would be willing to sponsor such a programme.
