KS1 Curriculum & Testing
• The curriculum is taught through topics based on the 6 strands taught in the Foundation Stage. See the website for Topics over the year. Children can bring in topic related items to show.
• Children will be assessed throughout the year by teachers at the end of a unit of work
• Y2 sit SATs during May. This forms part of our assessment but levels are teacher assessed.
Reading
• Please try to listen to your child read as often as possible
• Don’t worry if the reading books appear easy
