WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear friends and Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure and honour that we welcome you to the Malaysian Society of Anaesthesiologists and College of Anaesthesiologists, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia Annual Scientific Congress, My Anaesthesia: 2020 Quality, Safety, Availability.
This congress is one of the biggest events organised every year for the anaesthesiology fraternity in Malaysia. It is an excellent platform to expand your knowledge in anaesthesia, network, establish collaborations or to simply meet old friends. This year we have chosen Shangri-La, Kuala Lumpur as the venue as we are confident that the location and the facilities available in this hotel will facilitate a wonderful atmosphere for both conferencing, socialising and learning about our Malaysian culture.I would like to thank the organising and scientific committee, distinguished speakers and facilitators, MSA secretariat and the industries for their participation and tremendous contributions in ensuring the success of this congress.
The theme for My Anaesthesia: 2020 is “Quality, Safety, Availability”. Global quality improvement and international standards for safe practice of anaesthesia have already been published by various countries including Malaysia. In Malaysia, the recommendation for safety standards and monitoring during anaesthesia and recovery was published and revised in 2008. It is hoped that with this congress, we can further share, analyse and improve the current data and knowledge that we already gathered from the many previous projects, protocols and guidelines to further enhanced the availability of anaesthesia services and improving the safety and quality of anaesthetic patient care in Malaysia and throughout the world.
The scientific committee has been working very hard in making sure that the scientific content is interesting and stimulating. We are confident that it will meet your expectation. We hope that you will have an enjoyable and fruitful congress. Welcome once again to the MSA/CoA Annual Scientific Meeting, My Anaesthesia: 2020 Quality, Safety, Availability.
Thank you.

WELCOME MESSAGE
Welcome to MyAnaesthesia 2020!
Our theme for this year’s congress is “Quality Safety Availability” and the Scientific Committee has prepared a programme of workshops, presentations and symposia which reflects this topic and which we hope will provide useful insights to you, our professional colleagues, as we move forward into the 2020s.
Our four-day event this year begins on 26th March 2020 with pre-congress workshops on patients monitoring, lung isolation technique, transportation in critically ill and critical appraisal. The main congress will be between 27th March 2020 and 29th March 2020 at Shangri La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
On behalf of the Scientific Committee, I hope you will find the congress’s programme and content relevant to your practice and that you derive as much satisfaction and fulfilment from your participation as we have in organising it.
We wish you a great conference and look forward to meeting you at this congress.
Thank you.
