Open position for Sunday School teacher

Nexus United Church of Christ has an immediate opening for a dedicated teacher to lead our Sunday School program for elementary aged children. The class meets during the Sunday morning worship at 10:00 am. The class ends no later than 11:15. Nexus Church meets at the East Butler County YMCA in Hamilton, OH, (next to Bridgewater Falls Shopping center), convenient to I-75. The salary is $50 per week. Required qualifications/skills

Responsibilities:

• Nurture children’s spiritual growth consistent with the beliefs of a progressive Christian church.

• Plan Sunday morning classes. We are currently using a curriculum developed by the Center for Progressive Christianity which includes interactive activities coordinated by the teacher.

• Create an atmosphere of learning that is fun, energetic, and inclusive where all children feel comfortable -- participating and asking questions.
