OLEANA

Vår største drøm var å vise at det var mulig å drive med produksjon av klær i et høykostland som Norge. Vi ønsket virkelig å satse på design av ypperste klasse og i bærekraftige råmaterialer. Vi ville skape nye arbeidsplasser og utvikle et trygt og godt arbeidsfellesskap der folk kunne trives og utvikle seg. Vi hadde så mange ideer og drømmer som vi ønsket å realisere.

25 år seinere er vi stolte over å kunne presentere vårnyhetene til kunder over hele verden, skapt av Oleanas egen designer, Solveig Hisdal. Oleana lever og vi vil fortsette med å tenke store tanker!

Our biggest dream was to prove that it could be possible to produce beautiful clothing in a high cost country like Norway. We really wanted to make an effort, investing in the very best designs and sustainable qualities. We wanted to create new jobs and a safe and good working environment where people could be happy and develop personally. We had so many ideas and dreams we wanted to realize.

25 years later, we are proudly presenting the spring news to customers all around the world, created by Oleana’s own designer, Solveig Hisdal. Oleana is alive and we still want to think big thoughts!

Oleana er stolte av å kunne si at vi både strikker og syr alt vi produserer i Norge. Vår designer, Solveig Hisdal, står bak alle Oleanas mønstre.

Vår/sommer-kolleksjonen som du ser presentert i denne katalogen har hennes karakteristiske signatur.

Oleana er godkjent som Économusée. Det betyr at vi er en del av et internasjonalt nettverk med levende håndverksbedrifter som produserer tradisjonelle og nyskapende produkter. Alle Économuséene er åpne for publikum.

Fabrikken ligger i historiske lokaler helt nede ved fjorden i Ytre Arna utenfor Bergen der tekstilindustrien på Vestlandet startet i 1846! Vi inviterer til en innholdsrik vandring gjennom fabrikken for å se folk og maskiner i arbeid og besøke vårt utstillingssenter.

Oleana is certified as an Économusée. This means we are a member of an international network of enterprises producing traditional and contemporary products with age-old techniques that are open to the public.

Here in our restored historic buildings by the fjordin Ytre Arna, birth place of the West Coast textileindustry in 1846, you can see something exquisitecreated before your very eyes.Come and witness the story of Oleana.
