One of the civilian avenues was through the American Red Cross Clubmobile program, which was essentially a mobile club, featuring doughnuts, coffee, and good old American girl-next-door friendliness, all served up at the front lines in Europe, Southeast Asia, India, and Australia - wherever the troops were to be found. Chilli Bear’s Corner Thanks for bearing with us as we reorganize the picture books. I just talked with the librarians, and they said we’re really close to unveiling a great new set-up! By March 8, you will be able to browse the picture books by subject—not to mention check them out again! We know you’ve missed them; they’ve missed you too.
Do you have colorful old greeting cards that you'd like to see go for a good use? The Youth Department is looking for cards (and other colorful pictures on heavy stock) to use for our craft workshops. Donate your cards to the library, and they will be turned into fun decorations!
