Nowra East Public School Values: Safe, Responsible and Respectful Learners
Dear Parents It is now half way through Term 1 and all students are working hard with in their classrooms. This week students will continue to participate in PLP conversations and I’d like to thank you for your support in developing connections with your child’s teacher.
SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Last Tuesday 13 February, we held our annual swimming carnival at Nowra Aquatic Centre. It was great to see so many students enjoying participating in events and water activities. Congratulations to the following students who progressed to the Shoalhaven District Swimming Carnival, which was held on Friday 23 February.

KINDERGARTEN AND THEIR BUDDIES This week our Kindergarten students had a lovely picnic with our school leaders. This was to celebrate their first opportunity to play with all students during our play breaks. THE HON. SHELLEY HANCOCK MP VISIT On Thursday we were visited by the Hon. Shelley Hancock MP. During the school holidays and over the last couple of weeks our school has had a lot of maintenance upgrade done to classrooms, such as new carpets, painting of rooms, a kitchen installed and new roofs for specific buildings. Shelley was thrilled to see the funding that the school received from local government had been completed. “Schools such as Nowra East Public saw an investment of almost $700,000 to carry out roofing, painting and flooring on a number of their school blocks. Classrooms at the school now enjoy improved drainage and ventilation and teachers and students came back from holiday to a refreshed school.
Providing high-quality school facilities is vital to give our children the education they need and deserve. These works ensure we’re providing those facilities,” Mrs Hancock said. On behalf of our school community I would like to thank Mrs Hancock for her ongoing support.
