On Monday evening, NLC 1st Vice President and Cleveland Councilmember Matt Zone welcomed NLC President Melodee Colbert-Kean and NLC CEO Clarence Anthony to the Rock and Roll Capital of the World and host city for the RNC.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani delivers remarks on the first night of the convention. NLC representatives were provided credentials by the Republican National Committee to attend the week’s events.

The briefing featured remarks by former U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood; Fort Worth, Texas, Mayor Betsy Price; U.S. Conference of Mayors President Mick Cornett, mayor, Oklahoma City; National Association of Counties President Sallie Clark, commissioner, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Sheila Amoroso, co-director, Municipal Bond Department, Franklin Templeton Fixed Income Group.
