The Chamber is thrilled to re-introduce the tradition of a monthly gathering for members. This is a wonderful opportunity for our members to connect with each other and hear from a notable speaker. Each gathering will also provide the chance for members to network, allow new members to be formally recognized, and include the pre-sentation of a Celebrate Business Success Award (CBS Award) designed to honor a business contributing to the vitality of the East Metro/Saint Paul region. The series is sure to energize and help our membership stay engaged in the East Metro business community.

With the recognition of our new members, David Quigg, regional president for Wells Fargo in Saint Paul and the East Metro took to the podium to offer a few words to introduce the keynote speaker, Senator Norm Coleman. Coleman took to the stage in what was his first public appearance since his announcement that he won’t run
for Minnesota governor. Soon to be Chief Executive Officer of the American Action Network, Coleman addressed the audience on the philosophy that America is a center-right nation, looking for change in Washington, not America. Addressing lower taxes, strong national security and limited government, Coleman spoke with the strong enthusiasm that has fueled his political career thus far.
After Coleman’s address and a brief question and answer session, Susan Kratz with Moore, Costello & Hart took to the podium to honor a CBS Award winner. In 2005 the Chamber partnered with Moore, Costello & Hart to create a tradition that honors those who provide leading examples of how members of the business community contribute to a shared vision of economic success throughout the Saint Paul/East Metro area.
