One of our unique selling points is eWay, our interactive online case-management service, which blends technology with personal conveyancing. eWay minimises delays, keeps clients informed and helps move cases towards exchange and completion by allowing clients to manage their cases from anywhere, at any time.

The My Home Move culture could be described as ‘work hard, play hard’, but with a family atmosphere. Several employees have been with us since the beginning, all having been presented with 10 year service awards. My Home Move has pioneered the use of innovative technology in legal services for over a decade, creating an online conveyancing service that meets the needs of modern consumers. eWay, our award-winning online conveyancing service, has enabled us to complete cases up to three weeks faster than the national average.

Key features include:

• Conveyancing on the go - clients have the ability to manage their conveyancing case on the move or from their smartphone or tablet.

• Clear progress - the unique eWay dial shows clients how their case is progressing. Each section is a milestone in the conveyancing process - the fuller the section is, the closer it is to completion.

• Online interactive forms - nearly all documentation is available to complete online, helping further to speed up the conveyancing process.

• Here to help - access to a suite of useful video guides and help sections, which enables clients to understand exactly what they need to do.

• Personalised for clients - each client gets a personal login.

• 21st century conveyancing - red task indicators on the dial let clients know that there is a task for them to complete.

• Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - Our EAP provider, ‘Friends Life’ provide a range of confidential advice and support completely free of charge, 24 hours a day, every day.

• Probationary Period - The probation period lasts for 13-21 weeks, dependent on the role.

• Notice Period - Employees are required to give 1-3 months notice, dependent on the role.

• Hours of Work and Shift Patterns - My Home Move operates from 8am - 8pm during the week (except Fridays when we close at 7pm) and also at the weekends; 9am - 4.30pm on Saturdays and 10am - 3pm on Sundays. Our core working hours are 9am - 5pm during the week, with operational shift rotation patterns decided within the teams, after discussion with all parties.

• Bonus Scheme - The company has a discretionary bonus scheme in place.

• Holidays - Employees are entitled to 25 days holiday, plus statutory bank holidays.

• Pension - We offer a pension scheme.

• Medical Cover - This is a single or partner cover. Partner cover depends on the employee’s role in the company. This is available after a successful completion of a probation period.

• Income Protection Insurance (PHI) - Employees are eligible for this when they are absent from work for more than 26 weeks.

• Life Assurance - This is 4 times an employee’s basic salary. This is available from the employee’s start date.

• Season Ticket Loans - Employees are entitled to apply for an interest free season ticket loan, up to a maximum value of £10,000, to help reduce the cost of public transport to and from work.

• Professional Fees - The company will pay for annual fees to the Council for Licensed Conveyancers and other specialist professional bodies.

• Training Contracts - My Home Move has Aunthorised Training Provider status from the Solicitors Regulation Authority, enabling our conveyancers to train as Qualified Solicitors. The training contracts give our conveyancers the opportuninty to widen their knowledge and skills to carry higher case loads.

• Further Education Assistance - Job-related training is funded by the company.

• Childcare Vouchers - The vouchers help to save money on registered childcare, as the value of the vouchers is taken from your gross salary before deductions such as tax and N.I.

• Eye Care Vouchers - Employees can receive free eye tests and a contribution towards prescription glasses for VDU (Visual Display Unit) use.

New starters and experienced candidates benefit from our comprehensive development programme, provided at our award-winning, in-house Learning & Development Academy.

My Home Move’s award-winning Academy, which is accredited by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers and the Solicitors Regulation Authority, benefits from three training rooms and a model office, helping our employees gain real conveyancing experience and develop the skills to deliver a first-class service.

During a day-long Company Induction, all new staff receive a personal welcome from the Board of Directors. All of our new trainee conveyancers then complete a six-week programme of activities, designed to ensure they are fully equipped to use our systems and provide exceptional customer care from the moment they join the team. More experienced candidates benefit from a training programme tailored to their specific needs, including an introduction to our award-winning processes.

Development and progression continue, as all of our conveyancers are encouraged to take on more varied and complicated work and to progress up My Home Move’s Conveyancing Career Ladder. As our employees progress, they have the opportunity to develop their experience with our innovative Leadership and Management training, helping them to further their careers.

In 2014, we launched the Virtual Academy, a state of the art Learning Management System, giving all of our employees online access to training and course materials, as well as a suite of educational eLearning modules and tests. We understand that everyone learns in different ways, so the Virtual Academy is designed to offer an alternative experience to traditional classroom teaching.

We are committed to supporting good causes and charities that help provide support, shelter and accommodation for children and adults in our communities and beyond.

• The Bridge Homeless Shelter in Leicester city centre provides a safe and warm place for many of the city’s homeless.

• The Mustard Tree in Manchester operates across the city, offering a range of services to Manchester’s marginalised and homeless people.

• The Snehalaya Children’s Home in India cares for and educates 50 children with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.

• The Hope Centre in Northampton city centre supports many of the city’s vulnerable and homeless people by providing food, showers and clothing for those living in poverty.

MHM Charitable Trust

My Home Move Charitable Trust The My Home Move Charitable Trust was set up in 2013, to bring together the charitable activities being conducted across the company. Money raised for the trust is distributed to our chosen good causes, which fall into two groups; ‘Do The Right Thing’ and ‘Other Causes’.

Do The Right Thing (DTRT)Do The Right Thing is the internal name we give to the work that we do for the good causes and charities that My Home Move staff support. DTRT grew from the personal passion of our people, to lead by example and help those less fortunate than ourselves. DTRT supports four good causes, all of which have had personal, as well as financial support from staff in various parts of My Home Move.
