Task Manager

• Ctrl + Alt + Del & click Task Manager

Processes Tab• Many processes from

applications, the system, and services

• Displays User, CPU usage, Memory usage

• End process / process tree• Set priority (Realtime,

• Assign a process to a processor

• Click on a category to sort

• Update interval can be changed

• Information events (white)• Warning events (yellow)• Error events (red)• Success (key)• Failure (lock)

– Date & Time– Component or Application logging the event– Category & Event ID– Computer– Description (often with a link)

Performance Console

• System Monitor– Gather remote or local data– Add counters for objects– View as graph, bar chart, or report

• Performance Logs & Alerts– Grab data for use in System Monitor or

Excel/SQL server– Binary, CSV, Tab separated files can be

generated
