ISSUES

HEALTH

Mill Dog #251 As a breeding dog,

#251 lived 7 years of her life, in a small wire cage, with no human contact and no vet care. She was never taken outside of her cage.

Lily

National Mill Dog Rescue was inspired by #251, named Lily. Theresa Strader rescued Lily from an auction in Missouri and founded NMDR in February 2007 in her honor.

Humble BeginningsNMDR was initially located at Theresa & Rich Strader’s

family home in Black Forest.

Soon volunteers were coming to help…

And only two years later…NMDR moved to a new facility in Peyton, Colorado.

What is National Mill Dog Rescue?

How does NMDR help dogs?

Volunteers save dogs from mills in several states and transport them to a safe place.

The dogs are then transported to NMDR headquarters

Once there, the dogs receive all the care they need
