My trip to

LEGOLAND®

Discovery

Centre

We park at the top level of the car park.

I can see the LEGOLAND ® sign from the car

park!

The LEGOLAND ®

sign is on the

right.

But when

I walk through

the door

I need to turn

left.

LEGOLAND® is upstairs.

We can go up the escalator or take the lift.

I will see other families on my way.

When we arrive we need to wait at the end

of the queue line.

If we bought

tickets online

we go left

If we need to buy tickets

we join the right queue

line.

When the queue lines get too

long for me I can play with

LEGO

When it is my turn a team

member in a green shirt will help

me to buy a ticket

The first room I enter is called ‘Factory Tour’.

But it’s not a real factory.

A video explains how LEGO bricks are made…

I use the controls to build a figure on the screen.

The exit door is open. I can leave whenever I like.

If I don’t want to go into the

Factory…

I go through the red door on

the left

Next we can go on ‘Kingdom

Quest’

It is a laser gun ride.

It is dark.

There are loud noises and light

effects

I use my gun to shoot

targets to score

points

I need to sit calmly for the whole time.

The staff closes the lap bar.

Targets can be LEGO Models

Or projections on the screen.

The next place we visit is MINILAND.

This is a model city made from LEGO bricks.

I can press buttons to play sound or make

minifigures move

The lights go bright

and dark to simulate

day and night

When it gets dark there

are firework projections

on the wall

There is a tunnel I can use as a hiding spot…

Or to have a closer look at the display

This is the main area.

In a Discovery Centre we learn and play at

our own pace.

I chose where to go.

And how long I want to

stay.

Staff members wear green

T-shirts and name badges.

If I need help I can speak to

them

This area is called ‘Heartlake

City’

I can build models and add them

to the display table

This area is called ‘DUPLO Farm’

I can build with DUPLO bricks

and soft bricks

This is only for kids age 2 – 5

I can go on the Merlin’s Apprentice Ride.

It spins and goes up and down.

I need to keep my feet

on the pedals and sit

for the whole ride.

The team will check my height and my seat

belt

After the ride I have to

leave so other kids can

have their turn.

I can build towers at the ‘Earthquake tables’

I press the green button to make it shake

And the red button to make it stop.

I turn the black

button to make it

faster or slower

In the ‘Build & Test’ area I can build cars

If I need help I ask a

team member in a

green shirt

I can test my car on the ramps.

I can play in the Soft Play area.

I wait until the gate is opened for me

My shoes will go in the shoe rack

When going down slides I wait until its my

turn

I can watch a short movie in the

cinema

I wait in line until the doors open

A timer shows me how long I have to wait

A staff member

gives me 3D

glasses on the way

in

The movie is in 4D.

This means:

3D movie

Wind effects

Light effects

Smoke effects

The exit doors stay open.

I can leave whenever I like.

I put my glasses

in the yellow box

I can go to the Creative Workshop to learn how

to build a dog

After I build my dog I take it apart and put

it back in the box

There is a STAR WARS display

I can take a break in the

seating area

If I need to go to the toilet I follow these

signs

The doors look different but all they are the same.

There are sound effects in the toilet.

There are 3 quiet rooms I can use when I need a

break

I can play with Soft bricks

Or just relax

There are rules I need to follow

If I am hungry or thirsty I can

buy food and drinks at the

Café

If I only like certain food I can

bring it with me

OPTIONAL

On my way out I can look

through the Retail Shop

OPTIONAL

I exit through Miniland

And follow the EXIT signs
