December,1996.He is the only brother of Maricon O. Termulo and the only son of Lorna Termulo and Roberto Termulo, Jr. whom living at Sta Cristina 2, City of

Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Laurence graduated in Sta. Cristina Elementary School and finished his secondary schooling at Dasmariñas East National High School. He is now fulfilling his Bachelor’s degree at Cavite State University-Main Campus as a Bachelor of secondary Education major in English third year student .

A SHORT SUMMARY OF EDTC TOPICS

Educational Technology provides a genuine and abundant help for the teachers from the past years and in the modern times. Through EDTC, teachers and students will be able to experience a valuable teaching-learning process. Let us take a time to absorb its essence.

Provided that teachers in the Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) have nurtured their ability in creativity in making instructional materials using cartolina, manila papers and some others, then progressivist teachers also need a capacity to manifest and incorporate technology in the K+12 Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum which is now being used in Philippine Academic Institutions like Elementary and High School.

Through the use of Internet, hypermedia and other modern websites which serves as a helping tool in conducting research, making an assignment, creating a project and getting an urgent activities to be pass on classroom discussion are being covered by the so-called Technology in Education which might under by Educational Technology.

Teachers for the 21st Century are merely challenged by the different techniques and methods of teaching through using variety of technological aid which truly difficult to manipulate in order to have an effective lesson delivery. And remember that teachers in the modern times will be serving only a facilitator of learning.

Learning through experience is really an aim of educational technology. It greatly emphasizes that through the guide of three primary domains namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain, teachers will be able to cater their students’ multiple intelligences.

•Educational Technology provides a hollistic learning development where knowledge, analysis, synthesis, until creating stage will be enhanced further towards effective instruction.

•EDTC promotes an essential instrument for useful learning.

•Through, EDTC teachers are equipped with the technique of visual simulation program where students discover a lots of thing even in a certain far place.

• Teachers can only be empowered to talk and to teach students when he/she are already equipped with the knowledge prior to higher order thinking skills which will be the focus of instruction in the current trends of curriculum.

One of the great thing that future teachers learned in the EDTC for K+12 Program is the Outcomes Based Education. In assessing students’ learning, teachers are responsible enough in monitoring students’ progress through their group/ individual performance, project and some others which uses educational technology.

Educational Technology highly focuses with the use of materials serving as instructional or teaching aids. It is a vehicular tool of a teacher in presenting and organizing a certain lesson. It purely provides a variety of strategies which could promote a wide range of permanent change of students’ behavior.

Knowing the different styles in making a powerpoint presentation, an essential color combination to use in avoiding confusion, and also distraction. Making an instructional tool not just only a traditional teaching aids but also the modern instructional materials.

Educational Technology 1 and 2 meets in an end point which is the techniques for hollistic learning development. The different things that a teacher can do in order to deliver a certain lesson in a very essential, interactive, and dynamic way. It might be a field trip, a gallery tour, etc. which are included in the cone of experience.

Future teachers are about to serve future leaders and professionals. Ignorance will be cured through the public servants like Professional Teachers. He/She will mold the values, attitude, knowledge and skills of the young people towards productivity. Through the useful materials in classroom made by the EDTECH community, many people will become successful in academe. Without the guiding principles in teaching surrounded by the Educational Technology Standard Guideline, then there would no interactive classroom facilities and materials today. Without knowing its very essential role in classroom setting, then there would no improvement of learning today. Teachers are the facilitators and make a big change for individual students’ life for building nations progress.
