Most of you know that I am from Canada.  However, you might not know which part of Canada I am from. Let me tell you about my hometown ­ Summerland, British Columbia, Canada

Summerland is in British Columbia, Canada’ s most western province.

British Columbia has an area of  944,735 km². That is 875 times bigger than Hong Kong!!

The largest city in British Columbia is Vancouver which has a population of 2 million.   The whole population of British Columbia is 4.3 million.

The Weather 

• How is the weather in Summerland? 

•  Summerland got its name from the long summers of blue skies and hot weather. During the months of July and August the temperature has been known to reach as high as  40º C, although most days are considerably cooler than this.

Hot weather? 

•  If the weather is too hot we like to go to the many beaches in Summerland and go swimming!   There are also many water parks where people can cool down.  People also like to sit in the shade and eat homemade ice cream!
